Department of Neurology

Introduction

The Department of Neurology provides diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with neurological problems. It offers outpatient specialised and super-specialised activities in several centres and specialised counselling centres. The department closely cooperates with the Department of Neurosurgery and Department of Imaging and provides super-specialised diagnostics and care of advanced stages of Parkinson's disease, deep brain stimulation, continuous infusion of L-dopa products using a duodenal tube, continuous application of apomorphine, immunomodulatory treatment of multiple sclerosis, therapy with interferon, natalizumab, clinical trials of new drugs and epileptosurgery in patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy.
