Introduction
The Department of Nuclear Medicine performs all standard diagnostic and therapeutic activities in the field of nuclear medicine, such as PET/CT examination of the torso or limited regions, examination of myocardial perfusion, skeletal scintigraphy, tumour scintigraphy, inflammation scintigraphy, scintigraphic detection of sentinel nodes for their subsequent biopsy using radionavigation procedures, radionuclide examinations of the uropoietic system, scintigraphic examinations of the gastrointestinal tract, lung scintigraphy, CNS examinations, radionuclide examinations in haematological patients (e.g., survival time of erythrocytes, platelets, radio-iodine treatment in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma, painful bone metastases or Zevalin therapy).
